Sharon Schiller

A gentle spirit departs this earthly realm as we bid farewell to Sharon Schiller, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and aunt. Born on October 19, 1942, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Sharon's life journey came to its natural close on October 15, 2024, in Gilmer, TX.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished by her devoted daughters Deb Schiller and Pam Schiller, grandson Marc Nichols, granddaughter Rebecca Schiller, great-grandchildren Royce and Rosalina Castorena, and multiple nieces and nephews.  Sharon's life was filled with joy from her family to her work as an Office Administrator at GTE/Verizon.

Known for her warm smile and caring heart, Sharon enjoyed the simple pleasures of life playing cards, cooking, tending to her garden, and volunteering at the Pregnancy Crises Center. Her dedication also shone bright in her community as a Sunday School Teacher at Soules Chapel United Methodist Church, where she shared her faith with others.

Friends, family, and acquaintances are invited to attend the public viewing at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Tx. on October 20, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. to pay tribute to Sharon's remarkable life. The funeral service, a celebration of life, will be held at Soules Chapel United Methodist Church, on October 21, 2024, at 2:00 pm, where prayers and memories will be shared.

Her earthly remains will be laid to rest at Soules Chapel Cemetery, in a burial ceremony that symbolizes the release of her spirit into the eternal embrace of the heavens.

Sharon Schiller's life may have reached its sunset, but her memory will forever illuminate the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. In her absence, may her spirit continue to guide and inspire us towards love, compassion, and grace.

Sharon was preceded in death by husband, James Kenneth Schiller, Parents Edgar and Arline Muscat, Daughter Julie Schiller, Brother and Sister in law Ron and Kathy Muscat, Sister Nancy Decker, and Grandson Richard Schiller.

Pallbearers will be: Ed Muscat, Jim Decker, Marc Nichols, Jackson Decker, Jordan Decker, Nick Byrd and Nate Bryd
