Sharon Irene Neathery, 55, of Gladewater, Texas passed away on December 11, 2024. Sharon was born in Gonzales, Louisiana to Joe Moore and Linda Gail. She was the 4th out of 5 girls and loved her sisters dearly. Later on she married the love of her life, Bobby Neathery, 37 years ago on April 4, 1987.
Sharon loved to get up every morning and start her day watching NCIS with her coffee and cigarettes. She loved to cook and was the best cook, no matter what it was. By looking at her family you could tell cooking was one of her passions. Another one of her passions was crocheting. She loved to crochet her nieces and nephews a blanket or anyone that had a baby. Sharon loved to craft. She would always see ideas on Facebook or Pinterest and created nothing into something beautiful. She loved and took pride in her plants. Any chance Sharon got she would get a piece of someone else’s plant if she didn’t have it. Sharon loved to crappie fish, regardless if it was in a boat or on a dock. It brought her great peace and joy.
Sharon loved the New Orleans Saints or anything to do with Louisiana for that matter. She was a true Cajun. She loved everything seafood, especially crab and crawfish. Her favorite times of the year were Easter and Christmas. She loved her family all together on Easter for a crawfish boil and an egg hunt. At Christmas time she always made sure to spoil her girls and angel babies, it brought her immense joy. She would always try to play “hard” with her son in laws, but they knew she loved them.
With Sharon’s selfless heart she always thought of everyone else before herself. She was a dedicated wife for 37 years that never gave up on the love her and Bobby shared. Sharon was the best mama anyone could ask for. She was her children’s biggest cheerleader throughout their whole entire life. Even if they did wrong she always had their backs. She always knew just what to say and made sure to call her kids every single day just to hear their voice. No matter what happened in life, she was always there. Her biggest pride and joy was her angel babies. She was the best Lollie anyone could ask for. She always told them, “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck and to put a smile in your heart and one on your face.”
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Bobby Neathery; daughters, Emily Stephens and husband Kenneth, Pamala Wright and husband James; angel babies, Hopelynn (Pootie), Hadleigh (Boog), Addilyn (Tooter), Hinleigh (Phatty), Maybree (MayMay), Heatyn (Hunk), and Houstyn (her handsome little dude); sisters, Pamala Stafford, Alisa Jarrell, and Jo Landa Hemphill; as well as a nanny to many nieces and nephews.
Sharon is preceded in death by her father and mama, Joe Moore and Linda Gail and sister, Angela Carnahan.
Sharon was the light in every room she walked in. She never met a stranger. The first thing everyone seen was her big beautiful blue eyes and her smile. When Sharon loved she loved with her whole heart and you felt every inch of it.
