Sharon Taylor King

Sharon Taylor King, 89, of Gladewater, Texas passed away on August 2, 2023.  Sharon was born in Wright City, Texas on December 29, 1933 to Herbert and Marie Taylor.

Sharon was a kind, loving and giving Christian who was a dedicated servant of God. She attended Gaston High School before going to TJC and becoming an Apache Belle. She loved animals and never met a stranger. Sharon spent 22 years working for Gladewater High School before retirement.  Her church home, First Baptist Church of Gladewater, Texas, was somewhere she loved to be when she wasn’t with family. Sharon enjoyed cooking and having a family get together of any kind where she was able to spend time with those dearest to her. 

Sharon is survived by her two sons, Mike King and wife Sandy and Dennis King and wife Nelly; brother Mark Taylor and wife Linda; two grandsons, Brett King and wife Amanda and Chaz King; great-grandson, Colt King as well as many other family and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Paul King and her parents Herbert Taylor and Marie Taylor and brother Wayne Taylor.

A graveside will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 9 in the morning at Gladewater Memorial Park under the direction of Croley Funeral Home.
