Selita Irene Tucker

Funeral services for Selita Irene Tucker, 84, of Gladewater, will be 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church in Liberty City. Interment will follow services at Gladewater Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Tucker passed away in Longview on Friday, June 28, 2019.

Selita was born February 4, 1935 in Quemado, Texas to the late Marion Franklin Mooney and Delia Mae Hatcher Mooney. Mrs. Tucker was a retired teacher after 39 years of service; 25 of those years were with the Kilgore ISD. She was a longtime devoted member of Grace Baptist Church in Liberty City. Mrs. Tucker was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Selita will be truly missed by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

Selita is survived by her husband Roy C. Tucker; daughters Lavonna Kaye White, Janiece Tucker and Becky Barker and husband Jim; brothers Lon Martin and wife Dorothy and Marvin Mooney and wife Bea; grandchildren Dr. Brenna Tucker, Krista White, Stala White, Jessica Ferguson, Jeri Ferguson and Rexanna McVey; great grandchildren Damian Phillips, Christina Phillips, Melanie Phillips, James Jacobs, Nikolas Kraus and Claxton Barker as well as many other loving family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Marian Lyle Tucker.
