Sarah Lou Gunn

       Graveside services for Sarah Lou Gunn,78, of Shady Grove, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer,  Texas.  Jeff Regian will be officiating.   Sarah passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday, December 11, 2023 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas.  Sarah has made her home at Colonial Nursing Home in Lindale, Texas for the past several years.

        Sarah was born January 7, 1945 in Gilmer, Texas To Zessie and Corine Gage.  Sarah loved cooking, sewing, traveling and sharing her love and knowledge of the Shady Grove community where she grew up. She was also a lifelong member of the Church Of Christ.

         She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Troy Gunn, her beloved daughter, Melinda South and granddaughter, Raegan South.

         Sarah is survived by her twin sons, Brian South and wife Melissa, of Winnsboro, Texas. Byron South and wife Lana, of Shady Grove, Texas.  She is also survived by her five grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Hannah Fineran, and husband Steven, Tanner South, Pake South, Porter South, Padgett South, Jack Fineran and Baker Fineran.  In addition, she is survived by her sister, Ann Greer and brother, Weldon Gage.
