Sara Ann Fielden Arden

On February 23, 2025, God called home one of his angels. Sara Ann Fielden Arden was welcomed into Jesus's arms, a place where she felt completely at home. Sara's life on earth was a stellar example of what the Christian life should be. She accepted Jesus into her heart as a 9 year old girl at Laird Hill Baptist Church and faithfully attended church there for several years. Her service to Jesus included teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, Women's Bible studies, and showing hospitality at numerous church events. In addition to Laird Hill, Sara served at Union Grove Baptist Church and Friendship Baptist Church where she was an active member for close to 50 years. Her dedication to Christ was evident in the training of her children. She taught them from birth about the love of Jesus and how to best serve him.

Sara had many loves, Jesus and her family being at the top of the list. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. Over the years, she attended many activities to support them, including baseball fames, football games (to watch them play and to watch them in the band), and many other activities in which they were involved. Sara loved to sew (including making quilts), cooking (she could turn random ingredients into a delicious meal), reading, solving word search puzzles, and fishing (she often out-fished Bobby).

Sara was born July 3, 1941, in Commerce, Texas to Virgie and Freddie Fielden. She was one of seven siblings. Sara attended Leverett's Chapel schools where she graduated as salutatorian in 1959.

On December 13, 1958, Sara married her best friend and the love of her life, Bobby Joe Arden. They were happily married for 66 years, 2 month, and 10 days. Together they were blessed with four children, Burnetta Carol Arden Day (Dwight Day), Cynthia Ann Arden Hilton (Steven Hilton), David Glynn Arden (Patricia Arden), and Wallace Dale Arden (Michelle Arden). She and Bobby were also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Bobby's "Sara Ann" is survived by her loving husband, her children, and her grandchildren; Christopher Cooper, Jerrod Cooper, Christopher Day, Brandon Day, Jesse Day, Thomas Hilton, Stephenie Hilton, Sara Hilton, Joshua Hilton, Susan Hilton Currie, Christopher Arden, Justin Arden, Brandon Arden, and Trevor Arden, as well as twenty great-grandchildren.
