Samuel "Bud" Bledsoe

Graveside services for Samuel "Bud" Bledsoe, 83 of Pittsburg will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy, Texas with Reverend David Russell officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Bledsoe was born on December 7, 1928, in Billings, Oklahoma, to Dewey and Martha Dunham Bledsoe. He was the former owner of Two Rivers Grocery in Big Sandy before his retirement. He was also the former owner of Red Bud grocery store in Ponca City, OK and was in the grocery business in Muscle Shoals, Al. Mr. Bledsoe is survived by sons, Stan Bledsoe of Longview, Dean Bledsoe of Big Sandy and Curtis Bledsoe of Griffin, Georgia; daughters, Vicki Maxson of Hawkins, Marty Walorski of Pearland and Becky Hollingsworth of Anniston, Al; sisters, Betty June Dixon of Ponca City, OK and Joanie Forga of Longview; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Bledsoe in 2003 and son, Blake in 2005. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
