Ruth S. Howell

DIANA: Graveside services for Ruth S. Howell, 83, of Diana will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Mattox Cemetery with Brother Mark Young officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. She passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Pittsburg.

Ruth was born October 3, 1934 in Tyler, Texas to J.W. and Maudine Sims. She was a R.N. and retired from Rusk State Hospital. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church in Rusk.

She is survived by her husband Frank Howell, daughter and son-in-law: Mary and Bobby Crawford, sister and brother-in-law: Armitta and Jim Blackburn, grandson: Cordell Crawford, brother-in-law: Jerry Howell and his wife Janice, brother-in-law: Billy Stegall, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers-in-law: Gene Howell and wife Norma, Howard Howell, Charlie Howell and wife Joyce, Dan Howell and wife Linda, sisters-in-law: Billie Dean Sims and Ruth Stegall.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, 6-8 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
