Rudd Edward Still

Rudd Edward Still 57, of the Rosewood Community, Upshur County, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 4th 2011 surrounded by his family. Rudd was born on July 3, 1953 in Longview, Texas to Clyde Edward and Helen Jane Bohannon Still. He married Tina Meadville on June 6, 1992 in the Harmony Community and lived in the Upshur County area for 18 years. Rudd had been employed as a team truck driver with his wife, Tina at R & L Carriers. He had over two million safe driver miles and loved being a trucker. Rudd was an avid gardener; he took pride in his hostas and enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Tina of Rosewood; his only son, Rudd Gordon Still of Lamesa; father, Clyde Still of Jefferson; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Ronnie Strong; sister Brenda McWilliams and friend Lou Ann of Tyler; father-in-law, Gordon Meadville of Rosewood; brother-in-law, Rusty Meadville and his wife, Sidna of Big Sandy; sister-in-law Toni Quesada and her husband, Tony of Winona; numerous nieces and nephews; his traveling companion, Dinky, and his other dogs, Sister and Scooter. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 12, 2011, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. A celebration of Rudd"s life will be held at 1:00 P.M., March 26, 2011, at the Latch Community Center in Upshur County, Texas. Family requests memorials be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas 75701. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home-Gilmer.
