Ruby Loneta Flowers

Ruby Loneta Wright Russell Flowers Gladewater " Services for Ruby Loneta Wright Russell Flowers, 79, will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at 10 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend George Killebrew officiating. Burial will be at 2 P.M. in the Cathedral in the Pines in Tyler. Born on November 3, 1931, in Overton, Texas, to Fred and Ethel Wright, she entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 4, 2011. While here on this earth she was a loving, God-fearing, praying woman. She worked as a seamstress at R.L. Davis in Tyler for many years and retired from a sewing factory in Jacksonville. She especially enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing the piano or keyboard, and playing a game of 42. She was a charter member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Tyler. Ruby did not have many material things that this world offers, but she gave what she could and that was her love and prayers. We know that where she is now, she will have a beautiful mansion and a crown full of jewels because she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Gary Hooks of Kilgore; Paula and Gene Hopkins of Jefferson; Ginny and Jerry Henderson of Bullard; son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Barbara Flowers of Hide Away Lake; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 18 Great-Great-Grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Alyne Wright of DeRidder, Louisiana; Clifford and Doris Wright of Winona; Don and Judie Wright of Tyler; David and Marsha Wright of Chandler; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Ozella and Ken Griffith of Tyler; Dell and Sam McKinney of Gladewater; Sarah Bell of Gladewater; Barbara and Don Mullican of Tyler; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands, Edwin Russell and Dennis Flowers; 2 daughters, Priscilla Jones and Fran Gandy; and 2 brothers Glen Wright and James Wright. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Texan Nursing and Rehab, 300 Money Street, Gladewater, Texas 75647. This was her residence for the past six months and she received the tender, loving care that she so deserved. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday, March 7, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
