Services for Ronnie Joe Slusser, 73, of Gladewater will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home with Robert Slusser officiating. Mr. Slusser passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Tyler. Ronnie Joe Slusser was born to Joe and Pearl Slusser in Kilgore, Texas on April 8, 1943. He married Opal Causey Slusser in 1968 and together they made Gladewater their home. He was a truck driver and a member of the Church of Christ. Ronnie also served in the United States Air Force. Ronnie enjoyed farming and John Deer Tractors. Mr. Slusser is survived by his wife, Opal Slusser; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Tara Slusser; brothers, Johnny and Andy Slusser; sisters, Paula Clary, Ruth Larimore and Connie Bielfeldt; grandchildren, Sebastian and Ezekiel Slusser. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bophen Massey; brothers, Bubba, Jitter and Doodle Slusser. Visitation will be at Croley Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 6-8 p.m.
