Funeral services for Ronald Wesley Harris, 56 of Gilmer will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Croley Chapel in Gilmer. Mr. Harris passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in Gilmer. He was born on September 4, 1959, in Gladewater to Alfred Wesley and Maureen Higginbotham Harris. Mr. Harris was a self-employed painter. He is survived by his parents, Maureen and Alfred Wesley Harris; sons, David Harris of Conroe and Carrol Wayne Walthall of Gilmer; brothers, Steven Harris and wife, Tissha of Sulphur Springs and John Wallace Harris and wife, Becky of Gilmer; sisters, Debra Harris of Gilmer and Sheila Potter of Gilmer; grandchildren Paige Harris, Madeline Harris and Hadlea Harris; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jessie Mae Harris, A. W. "Dock" Harris, Macy Higgenbotham and Marshall Brady Higgenbotham. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 23, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
