Ronald James Stewart

Memorial service for Mr. Ronald “James” Stewart, 56, of Gladewater, will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, 2:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home Chapel, 305 W. Harrison St. Gilmer, TX 75644. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Mr. Stewart passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 in Tyler.
James was born in El Paso, TX on December 27, 1961 to the late Ronald Dean Stewart and Connie Neessen Beggs. He was a proud veteran in the United States Army and worked as an automotive technician for McKaig Chevrolet in Gladewater. James had a passion for cars, he especially loved to race them. He was a licensed pilot and loved to fly planes, as well as ride motorcycles and 4 wheelers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joy Tredway Stewart; daughters, Amber Stewart and husband Jeff Schroeder of Pritchett, and Amy Knoten Polhemus of Gladewater; sister, Kathy Creek; Uncle Denny and Aunt Donna Neessen and Uncle Phillip and Aunt Gayle Neessen; grandchildren, Caden Schroeder, Brennah and Abigail Polhemus; and numerous cousins.
James is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.
