Memorial services for Ronald G. 'Ronny' Moore, 66, of Gladewater, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2010, at Gladewater Former Students' Building. His body was donated to Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Born August 6, 1944, he died Friday, October 8, 2010. A 1962 graduate of Gladewater High School, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He owned and operated Ron Moore's Man Shop in Jacksonville, Texas, for 15 years. He then moved to Tyler and became a custom clothier for the East Texas area. He was very interested in people and made a great effort to keep his classmates and friends connected. In return, they had been his caregivers during the last months of his life. He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Leigh Moore of Tyler; his mother, Lorene Moore of Gladewater; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lucinda Moore and Cheryl and Rex Copeland, all of Gladewater; two nieces, Cassie Abernathy Marsh and Marcie Copeland Patterson; and two nephews, Jason Abernathy and Chris Abernathy; and a host of friends.
