Ronald Drexal Jones

Funeral services for Ronald Drexal Jones, 64, of Big Sandy will be held 2:00 P.M, Sunday September 22, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas with Bro. Don Kitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Mattox Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas. Ronald Drexal Jones was born on December 26, 1948, in Gilmer to Walter Merlin and Reba Brasher Jones. He served in the U. S. Navy, was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and a Self-Employed Gun Smith. Mr. Jones loved living life to the fullest which included his interest in photography, hunting, his love of John Wayne movies and he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Diane Savell and granddaughter, Hailey Grace. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Deborah Jones of Big Sandy; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Scott Loven, Carrie and Lonnie Henry, Katie and Jim Gentry; brothers, Walter Jones and Forest Jones; sister, Candace Thompson; grandchildren, Amber Austin, Ashley, Jordan, Danelle & Scottie Loven, Lorie Henry, Kyle Henry, Sam Gentry and Dalton Dubois;four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September, 21, 2013, 5:00 until 8:00 P.M.
