Roger Dean Berry

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Roger Dean Berry, who left us on January 13, 2025, in White Oak, Texas. Born on March 25, 1940, to James and Sarah Berry, Roger lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. He was also a proud member of the United States Marines, serving our country with pride. 

For enjoyment, Roger loved a good game of cards or dominoes with family and friends. Near the end of his life, he was fond of reminiscing and sharing stories about his life. He had a giving heart, frequently assisting those in need anonymously and giving to various charities. Before passing, he made a point of saying "I love you" to everyone that he could. Roger is survived by his wife, Wanda; son, Roger Dean Berry Jr.; daughters Tracy McGrath and Shanon Moon; his brother, Ronald Berry; as well as seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Chambers Hospice. 

Roger's family invites everyone who knew and loved him to join them in celebrating his life. A memorial visitation will begin Sunday, January 19th at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, with a memorial service starting after at 4 o'clock in the evening, taking place at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.

He will be dearly missed but will always live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest in peace, Roger.
