Roger Allen Hughes

Funeral services for Roger Allen Hughes, 75, of Hawkins will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2013, at the Holly Brook Baptist Church in Holly Lake Ranch with Reverend Raif Turner officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Wood County. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Hughes passed way Friday, December 20, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Hughes was born on November 23, 1938, in Pine Mills, TX to John Allen and Doris Dobbs Hughes. He was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone, veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Holly Brook Baptist Church in Holly Lake Ranch. Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife, Jeweldine Hughes of Hawkins; sons and daughters-in-law, John Ruston and Ellen Hughes of Houston and James David and Katrina Hughes of Hawkins; seven grandchildren, Eric, Jennifer, Emily, Hannah, Hope, Elijah and Lillian; two great-grandsons. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Crump. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time, Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Holly Brook Baptist Church.
