Robin Patricia Laastad

Robin Patricia Ferguson Laastad was also dearly known as Mama, Grandmommie, Sis, and Aunt Robin to all her loved ones. She told everyone that her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids were her greatest joy.

Robin was born on February 15, 1955, in Gilmer, Texas to Howard and Dorothy (Davis) Ferguson. 

She loved the Lord God and teaching Sunday school class. She was a servant of the Lord leading numerous people to the Lord and to know Jesus as their savior. She was one of the kindest, strongest, compassionate people in the world. She would do anything for anybody in need and though she didn’t have much in the way of worldly riches, she would give anything she had to someone in need. Her absence here on earth leaves a tremendous hole in many hearts. The life lessons and valuable attributes she has instilled in us will continue to live on. We are selfish humans and want her here with us but, take comfort in the knowledge that she is at peace with no more pain or suffering. She is rejoicing with the Lord and all of her loved ones who went before her. We all need to remember as she always said, “I will love you more forever!”

“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book.” Psalms 56:8

Those left to cherish her memories are her sons, Jason Lloyd Laastad and Jeremy Lawson Laastad; daughters, Jennifer Dawn Harris, Chairity Lea Scarborough and Michelle Lynn Laastad; brother, Robert Ferguson; sisters, Eudean Heard and Nancy Thompson; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Laastad.

The visitation will be on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10 AM, both will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Interment to follow at West Mountain Cemetery.
