Robert Wayne Stanley, Sr.

Services for Robert Wayne Stanley, Sr., 76, of Gladewater, will be held 10 AM Saturday, August 27, 2016, at the Gilmer Church of Christ with Mark Engel officiating. Interment will follow at West Mountain Cemetery. Mr. Stanley was born September 22, 1939, in Longview, to Jesse Vernon and Hazel Virgie Stanley. He graduated from White Oak High School, and later worked as a heavy equipment operator for Ed Warner Construction. Robert Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Lorraine Stanley; one brother and two sisters. He is survived by a son: Robert Wayne Stanley, Jr., and wife, Shara; two sisters: Melba Kelly, and husband, Winston, Judy Floyd; a grandson: Sam Stanley, who was the joy of his life; and a number of nephews. Visitation will be from 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday, August 26, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
