Robert Wayne Phillips

Mr. Robert Wayne Phillips, 76, of Gladewater, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, in Longview, Texas.

He was born on December 15, 1940, to Robert G. and Almedia B. Phillips in Winnsboro, Texas. Robert was a self-employed contractor for many years, and served in the Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, R.G. and Almedia Phillips; and great grandson, Brayden W. Miller.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Moriah Phillips, two daughters and one son-in-law, Lisa and Vincent Todd , and Reba Falgout; his siblings: Lorece and June Phillips, Danny and Kathy Phillips, and Brenda and Jack Settles; thirteen grandchildren: Nikki and Gerald Baudat of White Oak, Jay Tyner of Big Sandy, Jeromy and Mandee Tyner of Big Sandy, Nick Falgout of Austin, Galen Falgout of Austin, Cory Phillips of Longview, Cody and Jessica Todd of Big Sandy, Bubba and Brooke of Big Sandy, Krisjon Phillips of Longview, Jared and Julie Dollison of White Oak, Mackenzie Phillips of Tyler, Allen Barrilleaux of Austin, and Skylar and Adam Lopez of Kilgore, 21 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his friends at the Senior Citizens Dances at Big Sandy and Gilmer.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, August 4, 2017, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
