Robert Rouse

Garry "Robert" Rouse, 72, passed away on June 29, 2022 in Longview, Texas. Robert was born March 1, 1950 in Levelland, Texas to Troy and Mary Rouse.

Robert was married to the love of his life, Kathy, for 54 years. To know him is to love him; he was one of a kind that can never be replaced. He liked to tease his family, but you knew if he was teasing you then he loved you. Robert was a Ride Captain for the Patriot Guard where he was able to fulfill his love for riding his Harley. In their younger years, Robert and Kathy would travel together and take in the sights. One hobby Robert would indulge was restoring old cars and after years of painstaking work, he finished his 1956 Bel Air. He also thoroughly enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. He used his vocal skills to sing for his church at Woodland Hills Baptist Church. He loved Jesus and to witness to everyone he could about his savior. He will be missed more than can be measured.

Robert is survived by his wife, Kathy Rouse; son, Robert Charles Rouse; grandchildren, Aaron Rouse and Tyler Rouse; as well as 3 great-grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Mary Rouse; daughter, Angela Renee Rouse; brothers, Troy Rouse, Sterling Rouse and Roy Rouse; sisters, Elizabeth Sterling and Rosemary Webb.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 11 o'clock at Old White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home Gladewater, Texas with a visitation starting one hour prior at Old White Oak Cemetery.
