Robert Lloyd Laastad

Funeral services for Robert L. Laastad, 61 of Gilmer , will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer with Brother Brian Zappa officiating. Mr. Laastad passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015, at his residence. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 28, 2015, at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Robert was born to his parents Archie and Ella on September 2, 1954, in Los Angeles, CA. He had an associate"s degree, was an Auto-mechanic, and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Laastad is survived by his wife: Robin Ferguson Laastad; mother: Ella Smith; sons: Jeremy and Jason Laastad; daughters: Chairity Meagley, Jennifer Harris, Michelle Laastad; brothers: Chris, Stephen, and J. D. Laastad; sisters: Susan Morse, Twyla Laastad, and Laura Ricord; 16 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Laastad and a grandson, Jason Zane.
