Rob Roy Thompson, Jr.

Rob Roy Thompson, Jr., passed away on February 6, 2025, doing what he loved, working his farm, in Ore City, Texas. He was born on October 4, 1956, to Rob Roy, Sr. and Gussie Frances (Campbell) Thompson. Rob lived a life filled with passion, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Rob was a mechanic at Eastman for many years before retiring. Rob had a genuine love for the outdoors and found joy in working outside. His personality shone brightly in everything he did, and he made lasting impressions on those around him.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Rebecca Thompson of Ore City; son, Randy Cook and wife Annemarie of Haslet; daughter, Rachel Worthey and husband Cory and grandchildren Austin and Riley Worthey of Ore City; sister, Lana Thompson Webb and husband Jim of Arlington.

Services for Rob will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, visitation will be 10-11 AM with funeral service at 11AM. Interment to follow at Coffeyville Cemetery.
