Richard Pilcher

Graveside services for Richard Pilcher 70, of Gilmer will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Enoch Cemetery in Upshur County with Bishop Cory Pilcher conducting. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Pilcher passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017.

Mr. Pilcher was born December 4, 1946 in Gilmer, Texas to the late Nathan Pilcher and Mamie Catron Pilcher. Mr. Pilcher was a self- employed carpenter and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He lived most of his life in Upshur County and married Jean Sweat in Nevada.

Richard is survived by his wife Jean Pilcher of Gilmer; four daughters; Patty Isonhood of Sulphur Springs, Tami Davidson of Longview, Valerie Garner of Boise, Idaho, and Amy Austin of Sulphur Springs; brother Bob Pilcher of Gilmer; and sister Sue Baize of Arlington; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Mr. Pilcher is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and three sisters.
