Richard Husbands

Memorial services for Richard Husbands, 67, of Longview, will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2011, at 5 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Born on July 24, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, to Albert and Lillian Husbands, he died on Thursday, November 17, 2011, after a lengthy battle with prostate cancer. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas and received his degrees from University of North Texas at Denton. He spent 35 years in commercial lighting in Las Vegas and East Texas. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Barbara Hammer Husbands of Longview; 2 sons, David Husbands of Houston and Chris Husbands of Dallas; 3 daughters, Sherry O'Dell of Leonardtown, Maryland; Tasha Ardaiz of Las Vegas; and Tiffani Swainbank of Dallas; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; mother, Lillian Husbands of Gladewater; and 1 brother, Bob Husbands of San Diego, California. No visitation is scheduled.
