Richard Dale Hulsebus

Mr. Hulsebus was born on August 24, 1935 in Astoria, South Dakota to Henry Hulsebus and Lena Fischer Hulsebus. Richard served his country proudly in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Gladewater. Mr. Hulsebus earned a degree in Theology from Northwestern College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Richard enjoyed flying small planes, working on old cars, playing and watching sports and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Hulsebus will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Sylvia Mae Herschberger Hulsebus; a son Bret Richard Hulsebus and wife Joanne; two brothers Harold Hulsebus and Ed Hulsebus; four grandsons David Hulsebus and wife Samantha, Max Hulsebus and wife Heidi, Scott Hulsebus and wife Summer and Aaron Hulsebus and wife Meagan; six great grandchildren Gauge, Melany, Elliott, Natalie, Emryn and Declan as well as many other loving family and friends.

Cremation arrangements for Richard Dale Hulsebus, 84, of Gladewater are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Mr. Hulsebus passed away Monday, July 27, 2020, at home surrounded by family.

A private family service will take place at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
