Richard Allen Utzman Jr.

Richard Allen Utzman Jr., 65, passed away on September 15, 2022. He was born on April 13, 1957 in Fort Smith, Virginia to Richard and Bernice Utzman.

Mr. Richard was an amazing father, grandfather and man. In his professional life, he was a certified master welder and butcher that also, in his formative years, loved to rodeo. Known as “Paw Paw” to those that were close to him, he had the best sense of humor and had a personality as big as life. He had the biggest heart and loved with his whole soul. When he wasn’t busy with his grandchildren, he loved to watch Gunsmoke and Lonesome Dove. Mr. Richard cherished his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He often enjoyed fishing but loved watching LSU and the New Orleans Saints games. He

will always be remembered for his generous and kind heart.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Utzman; daughter Jessica Holmes and husband Greg; brother, Tommy Utzman and wife Cindy; sister, Janet Rosser; and 2 grandchildren, Evelyn (Evie Jean) and Hayden.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Richard Allen Utzman Sr. and Bernice Boyd Utzman.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 at 6 in the evening at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater, Texas.
