Rex A. White

Graveside services for Mr. Rex A. White, of Big Sandy, will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Upshur County with Bro. Dave Digmon officiating. Mr. White passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012 in Tyler. Mr. White was born on September 14, 1928, in Upshur County, Texas to William Harvey and Pearl Meller White. He is the Pastor of Locust Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Shriners. Mr. White is survived by his wife Virginia White of Big Sandy; sons, Rex Harvey "Bo" White of Lewisville, Texas, Anthony Hahn of Gilmer, Joe Hahn of Gilmer, Paul Hahn of Winnsboro; daughter Beverly Kay Acker Reynolds and husband, Billy of Big Sandy; sisters, Lavada Thomas of Kilgore, Wanda Silvertooth of Lafayette, La.; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Joyce Bernice White in 1997; daughter, Brenda Joyce Yates in 2001 and brother, Dewayne White. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 12:30 until 1:30 at the Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
