Services for Reverend Earl E. Story, 77, of Gilmer will be held 11:00A.M, Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Gilmer. Graveside services will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Overton, Texas at 2:00 P.M under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Reverend Story passed away on Monday, March 21, 2001 in Gilmer. He was born July 6, 1933, in Ft. Jessup, Louisiana to Otis and Ollie Hinton Story. Reverend Story was a full time evangelist for the United Pentecostal Church International for 53 years. He is survived by his sons, Reverend Lyn Story and his wife, Heather of Springhill, LA, Cedric Story of Kilgore; brother, Bill Story and his wife, Barbara of Lake O" Pines; sister, Janet Roberson of Dallas; grandchildren, Alec Story and his wife, Sara, Jennifer Brackman and her husband, Jeff; one great grandchild, Emma Brackman; host of relatives and friends. Reverend Story was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Key Story on October 20, 2005. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 23, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
