Rena Belle "Fitzgerald" Goodson

Memorial services for Rena Belle (Fitzgerald) Goodson, 74, of Holly Lake Ranch will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Gresham with Reverend Roy Thoene officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Rena went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 8, 2013 at 11:40 p.m., at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX. Mrs. Goodson was born January 4, 1939 in Chireno, TX, to Elton Teel and Emma Mae Graham Fitzgerald. She spent her professional career as a Radiology Technician for 35 years. Upon retirement she moved to Holly Lake Ranch to enjoy life with her late husband, Richard Henry Jacobson of 28 years. On November 11, 2011, she married Joe Bill Goodson of Tyler, TX. She is survived by her husband, Joe Bill Goodson of Holly Lake Ranch; son, Gary Garrison of DeSoto, TX; daughters, Wendie Garrison of Duncanville, TX, Nancy Hill of Commerce and Richelle Espinoza of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Elton Glen Fitzgerald; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Goodson was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Jacobson; brother, Louis Calvin Fitzgerald. No formal visitation is scheduled.
