Rebecca "Becky" Ilene Campbell

Rebecca Ilene Campbell was born on March 15, 1950 in Sherman, TX. She was the first daughter and third of five children born to Ralph and Maggie Ruth Godfrey.

Becky studied music, voice, percussion and piano from both the University of North Texas and the University of Oklahoma. With the intention of teaching, but as Becky liked saying, “I got married and kept having kids.” Though she never finished her degree, her skills were put to good use in VBS, Bible class, after school programs, and starting a school library. Outside of volunteering, Becky worked as a legal secretary in the food and customer service industries, as well as editing and promoting her husband’s books.

Becky is preceded in death by her husband David Allen Campbell of almost 40 years, father and mother Ralph and Ruth Godfrey, brother Paul and sister Debby.

Becky is survived by her 3 daughters and their spouses Rebecca & John, Ruth-Anna & James, and Deborah. She is also survived by grandchildren – Stephen (Little Jon), Hannah, Richard III (Bear), Frederick (Freddie), Gabriella (Dannie), David and Rosa. She is also survived by her brothers and spouses Joe & Iris, Richard & Nancy, and many nieces and nephews.
