Rebecca "Becky" Mayfield

Services for Rebecca "Becky" Mayfield, 67, of Gilmer, will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, May 18, 2019, at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Gilmer, with Rev. Connor Bales and Dr. Bill Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Glade Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Mayfield passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in Longview, Texas.
Rebecca was born January 11, 1952, in Gilmer, Texas, to Milton and Mary Marie Monroe Montgomery. She lived in Gilmer all of her life, and worked at the First Baptist Church CDC Pre-school. Rebecca was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Gilmer.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Marty and Christy Mayfield, Amy Mayfield, Gail and Mike Sanders, Donna and Mike Talley, Carol Mayfield, Becky and Charlie Pharr; brothers, Neal Montgomery, Buddy Montgomery, Ronnie Montgomery; sisters, Helen DeCuir, Shirley Hunt, Peggy Arnold; fifteen grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odie B. Mayfield; parents, Milton and Mary Montgomery; brothers, Howard Montgomery, Troy Montgomery, Kenneth Montgomery; sister, Carolyn Chandler; and a grandson, Chad Sanders.
A visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2019, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home.
