Reagan Grant White Sr. passed away Tuesday January 2, 2018 in Tyler Texas from complications of Parkinsons. He was born on July 25, 1948 in Gilmer Texas to Fred James White Sr. and Bernice Knight White. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, East Texas State University and University of Louisiana at Monroe. He happily worked as a public school teacher, first in the Madison Parish Schools in Tallulah, Louisiana and later in Gilmer for the Upshur County Shared Service Arrangement. It was in Tallulah he met and married Margo Hetland. They were married in Tallulah, then sealed for time and all eternity in the LDS Temple in Mesa, Arizona. They had 4 children and 4 grandchildren. He was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints his entire life. He held several offices and positions in the church. His wife Margo, his mother and father, his mother and father in-law James Hetland and Louise Ashley Hetland, sister-in-law Judy Ward White and brother-in-law Billy Joe Young precede him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Marie White of Texarkana TX and Tracee Jane Pouliasis and her husband Nick of Tyler TX, and sons Reagan Grant White Jr. and his wife Lindsey Tucker White of Gilmer TX and Bradley Benjamin White of Longview TX. His grandchildren are Alexandria White of Salt Lake City UT, Logan White of Chandler TX, Bristol White of Gilmer TX and Margo Pouliasis of Tyler TX. He is also survived by brother Fred James White Jr. (Jim) of Overton TX, sister Kimlyn White Young of Gilmer TX, brother and sister-in-law Tommy and Kay Hetland of Montrose AR and brother and sister-in-law Ashley and Pamela Hetland of Augusta ME, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. His visitation will be Friday January 5th from 6pm till 8pm at Croley Funeral home in Gilmer and graveside services will be at Kelsey Cemetery at 2pm, Saturday, January 6, 2018 officiated by Brother Dean Fowler. Honorary pallbearers will be Reagan White, Bradley White, Nick Pouliasis, Jay Young, Jacob Young, Trey White, Michael Paul Williams, Zane Williams and Chris Harmon. The family would like to thank Whitehouse Family Clinic and Hospice of East Texas and especially Selena Black for her love and care. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Kelsey Cemetery or volunteering at your local public school.
