Raymond Alton Jones

Gladewater ~ Memorial services for Raymond Alton Jones, 56, of Gladewater, Texas will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home with Reverend Jacob Wommer officiating. Mr. Jones passed away on February 16, 2016 in Gladewater. Raymond Alton Jones was born to Jesse Truman and Florence Nichols Jones on December 23, 1959 in Gladewater, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Gladewater and a member of the Lighthouse Church in Liberty City. He married his sweetheart, Terry Lynn Byrd on September 24, 1993. Mr. Jones was a certified Refrigeration and HVAC mechanic for 30 plus years and eventually owned his own business, Al Jones Heating and Air. He was also an avid gardener and enjoyed working the soil. Raymond also treasured quiet moments fishing on the pier and had begun mastering the art of smoking his own meats. He is survived by his wife, Terry Lynn Jones; son, Colt Jones and wife Sarah of Gladewater and son, Kyle Martin; daughters: Kalina Martin, Krista Crisci and husband, Kyle, Melissa Ramey and husband, Doug, Stephanie Shipp and husband, David, Kalyn Geddie and husband, Clay; brothers: Earl Jones, Jimmy Jones; sisters: Mozelle Cabrall and Mary Harris; and 11 grandchildren: Keaton Martin, Shelby Ramey, Ella Geddie, Skylar Geddie, Mariah Jones, Tyler Shipp, Matthew Shipp, Desiny Shipp, Luke Shipp, Claire Shipp and Hunter Jones. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Cecil Jones, Dan Jones, and Bill Jones.
