Randall Aubrey Thompson

Randall Thompson, 63, of Gilmer, Texas passed away on February 6, 2022 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on February 11, 1958 to the late T.A. and Francis Donelle Thompson in Gilmer. Randall was one that never met a stranger and was always there to make everyone laugh. He worked as a dairyman, working horses and trail rider as well as a farrier. Randall was a life-long member of the Life Tabernacle Church in Gilmer. When visiting with him, there was no such thing as a quick visit - either in person or on the phone.
Randall is survived by his loving wife, Kenni Monk; son, Scott and his wife Bree Thompson; daughter Dusty and her husband Denny Whisenhunt; step-sons, Sean Matlock and Ryan with his wife, Sara Monk; grandchildren, Marvona, Tyler, Braidon, Trevor, Dustin, Aubree, Aiden and Hudson; great-granchildren, Malaney, Connor, Kayden, Easton, Tinley, Kynzlie and Autumn; brothers, Dale and Danny Thompson; sisters, Margie and her husband Wayne Buchanan and Beverly and her husband Charlie Bouknight; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald and his grandson, Cody Thompson.
Funeral services under the direction of Croley Funeral Home will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 am at Life Tabernacle, Gilmer, Pastor Bryant Kitchell officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the church. Interment to follow the services in the Hopewell cemetery.
