Pola Jean Lee

Services for Pola Jean Lee, 72, will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas at 2:00 P.M. with Chaplain John Queener officiating. Interment will follow the service at Union Grove Cemetery. It is with immense sadness her family announces the passing of their dearest and most beloved mother, Pola Jean Lee. Pola went to be with her Lord on June 2, 2015, with her family present. Her fierce independence motivated her to overcome the many medical challenges she faced in her later years, but it was time to let go of her earthly struggles. Pola shared an infectious smile and warm, vibrant personality with family, friends and everyone she met. She will be dearly missed. Pola was born to Leonard and Della Greenlee in Canalou, MO, on January 7, 1943, and was the ninth of ten children. She later moved to Bloomfield, MO and finally to her home in East Mountain, TX, where she resided until her passing. She is survived by one brother, Leonard "Pete" Greenlee; sisters, Francis Meldrum and Imogene Haberberger; four children, Calvin Dewayne Lee, Terry Lane Lee, Tammie Jean Gallant and Melissa Jo Gill; and ten grandchildren and 23 great-grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin George Lee, parents, Leonard and Della Greenlee; her four brothers, Ambrose Greenlee, J.H. Greenlee and Allen Greenlee; three sisters, Delores Rettig, Laura Meunier and Betty Jo Greenlee; and one granddaughter, Kirstie Dawn Gill. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, June 4, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
