Peggy Lou Woodard

Services for Peggy Lou Woodard, 65, of Gilmer will be held 11:00 A.M, Friday, June 1, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Young officiating and burial to follow at Cherokee Cemetery. Mrs. Woodard was born on September 28, 1946, in Gilmer, Texas, to Loyce and Merlene Cannon and passed away on Sunday May 27, 2012 in Longview. She was a homemaker and a member of Cherokee Baptist Church. Mrs. Woodard is survived by her husband, James F. Woodard of Gilmer; sons, David Hanson of Chicago, James C. Woodard of Mineola, Connie G. Woodard of Allen, SC; daughter-in-law, Lisa Cox of Grand Rapids, MI; sisters, Ann Roach of Mt. Pleasant, Mary Montgomery of Gilmer; grandchildren, Jessica and Kayla Cox of Grand Rapids, MI; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by hers parents and sons, Kenneth Wayne Cox, Mitchell Woodard and Tony Woodard; sister, Pat Snider . Pallbearers are Hunter Hutto, Nathan Osburn, Ronnie Montgomery, Perry Riley, Bobby Snider and David Pickitt. The family will receive friends on Thursday May 31, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
