Graveside services for Peggy Jane Wilson, 90, of Longview will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Rosedale Cemetery in Gladewater with Mr. Gordon Grammer officiating. Interment will follow the services. Mrs. Wilson passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, in Longview.
Mrs. Wilson was born October 28, 1927 in Franklin County, Texas to the late Leo Corn and Lula Pynes Corn. Peggy was a former member of the world famous Kilgore College Rangerettes. She was a longtime devoted member of the Reel Road Church of Christ. She worked in the Banking Industry for more than 36 years as an administrative assistant. Peggy enjoyed cooking, gardening, raising African Violets as well as arts and crafts. She was very computer literate for her age and took pride in designing cookbooks for young married couples in the church. Peggy leaves behind a legacy that will not soon be forgotten by her loving family and many friends.
Peggy is survived by her son Steve Wilson; daughter Debbie Broome and husband Mark; four grandchildren Julie Broome Gobert and husband Eric, Laurie Broome Kerns and husband Dusty, Scott Broome and Lesley Broome Hansen; six great grandchildren Hallie Browning, Jack Gobert, Ben Gobert, Clara Gobert, Isaac Adams and Lilah Kerns as well as many other loving family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Lula Corn; husband Truman Wilson, father figure Roy (Mance) Pynes and a brother Chester Corn.
The family would like to give a special thanks of gratitude to Mary Stuart and Jenny Waites for all the love, support and friendship they showed Peggy in her later years.
