Peggy Day Smith

Services for Peggy Joyce Day Smith, 87, of Longview, will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 11 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Ritchie Hamm officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Born on April 9, 1926, she entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 30, 2014. She was retired from the J.C. Penney Company. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, E. H. and Donna Day of Stone Mountain Georgia; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Sonny Parnell of Tyler and Jan and Michael White of Longview; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. In her later years, she thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and especially the quality time spent with her great-grandchildren. She was loved by all and will be sorely missed. If so desired, memorials may be made to your favorite charity. No visitation is scheduled.
