A celebration of life for Minnie Pauline Box, 93, of Diana will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM, at Little’s Chapel Cemetery officiated by Reverend Gene Hazel.
Pauline passed away on July 26, 2020. She was born July 4, 1927 in Center, Texas to Ivy and Ada Hamilton. Pauline was a compassionate, kind, loving, wonderful wife and mother with an inner strength founded on her Christian faith in Jesus Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great grandmother and friend.
On April 12, 1953, she married Paul Box of Houston, Texas. They maintained a residence in Chireno, Texas for 20 years. They were married for 35 years and greatly enjoyed each other’s company. Pauline and her late husband owned Chireno Grocery Store for many years. She was a member of Chireno Baptist Church where she was very active. She loved being with her family and friends. Pauline moved to Longview, where she was a resident for 20 years, and was an active member of Providence Baptist Church. The last 4 years of her life she lived with her daughter, Linda Lansford, in Diana, Texas
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Paul David Box, and son, David Doneece Box, and son Herman Gibson.
Holding her close to their heart in this life are her kids; daughter, Linda Lansford of Diana; daughter, Shirley Gibson of Conroe; son, Junior Gibson and wife Sharon of Longview, and daughter Paulette Waldron of Longview. Ten grandchildren; Sharla Wright and fiancé Tony Yarber of Conroe, Stephanie Nygen and husband Michael of Houston, Deanna Ervin of Rockwall, Susan Gibson of Houston, Trey Gibson and wife Robin of Rockwall, John David Box of Oklahoma, Farrah Box Cowan and husband Dylan of Oklahoma, Melisa Ann Escamilla of Houston, Natasha Sappington and husband Billy of Conroe, Catrina Butke and husband Mark of Michigan. Sixteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren and all who affectionately loved her and additional friends.
