Paul David Ingram was born on November 1, 1936, in Dallas, Texas. His parents were Creekmore Ingram and Florentine C. Ingram (Young). Both have preceded him in death.
Paul died on Thursday, March 30, 2017, due to complications from COPD. Raised in Dallas, Paul attended Maple Lawn Elementary School and N.R. Crozier Tech High School. In 1956 Paul joined the United States Coast Guard. While stationed in Groton, Connecticut, Paul met his wife to be, Gabrielle (Gay) M. Giguere. They were married in 1958. There were two sons, David Lee Ingram and Robert Ansel Ingram. David preceded Paul in death. Upon discharge from the Coast Guard in 1960, they returned to Dallas, Texas. Here Paul studied Mechanical Drawing at Dallas Technical College and started a career in structural drafting which lasted forty-one years.
After moving from Dallas to Longview, Texas, then to Upshur County, just outside Big Sandy, Texas, Paul retired in 2002.
Many years ago Paul accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. This remained a priority with him the rest of his life.
Paul leaves behind his wife, Gay; son, Robert; sister, Mary Stelzer (Ingram); brother, Robert D.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, David Lee Ingram.
Funeral services will be held at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer, on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at one o'clock in the afternoon, with David Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Upshur County.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
