Paul Clifton Burnett

Graveside services for Paul Burnett, 72, of Big Sandy, will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Willow Oak Cemetery. Paul passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in Big Sandy.

Paul Clifton Burnett was born on December 12, 1949, in Grayville, IL, to Arthur W. and Alice L. Burnett. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the Army. After the service, Paul did numerous things including carpentry. He was married to Martha Sue Burnett, who preceded him in death in 2017. He enjoyed living life to the fullest and enjoyed his family and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a brother, Daniel Powell; great grandchildren, Ashlyn Honeycutt and Christopher Ramey.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Tonya Price; brother, Nubbin Calhoun; grandchildren, Jesse Honeycutt and wife, Hannah, Kyle Ramey, Tylor Burnett, Paige Burnett; great grandchildren, Brynlee and Hilda Honeycutt; and special friend, Patsy Kirk.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse Honeycutt, Kyle Ramey, Trent Bishop, Leroy Calhoun, Tylor Burnett and Allen Calhoun.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
