Patsy Ruth Westmoreland

Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Ruth Westmoreland age 89 of Gilmer, Texas will be held at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 23, 2019, with Bro. Madison Caffey officiating. Interment will follow at Ore City Cemetery. Mrs. Westmoreland passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 in Longview Tx. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 23, 2019 prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 P.M.
Patsy was born December 29, 1929 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Charles and Katie Murdock McCaskill. She married Phil Westmoreland in 1967 and they were married for 38 years before his passing in 2005. She was a homemaker, a member of Cherokee Baptist Church, she also worked for Sears and Roebuck for nineteen years. She enjoyed watching Walker Texas Ranger, and Blake Shelton on The Voice. She also enjoyed watching Joel Osteen and Dr. Charles Stanley after her health kept her from attending church.
She is survived by her sons, Philip and Paul Westmoreland both of Gilmer. Reginald Hoyle of Ore City; grandchildren, Keaton Westmoreland, Katie Nicole Westmoreland, Rachel Westmoreland, Chris Westmoreland, Michelle Dyer, Betty Allen, and Patricia Mallard; Numerous great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phil Westmoreland; and sons, Milton "Mickey" Westmoreland and Charles Neims.
