Patsy Jean Hill

Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Jean Hill, 73 of Big Sandy, will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 15, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Thorton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mrs. Hill passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2013 in Big Sandy. She was born on October 20, 1940, in Upshur County, Texas to Clauis and Berta McPeek Shrum. In November of 1958, she married Y. A. Hill, Jr. and lived her life in Upshur County. Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Y. A. Hill, Jr. of Big Sandy; daughter, Janet Gage of Big Sandy; brother, Douglas Shrum of Garland, sister, Lawanda Griggs of Gladewater and granddaughter, Brandi Stegall. Mrs. Hill other close relatives were Robert and Nadine Hill, Glen and Mary Rose Campbell, Granville and Linda Hill, Joe and Jeanie Hill and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Gerald Tucker, Tommy Hart, Rick Page, Neil Drake, Robert Hill, Glen Campbell and Granville "Rip" Hill. Joe David Hill will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
