Pat Ruth Dowden

Services for Mrs. Pat Dowden, 75, of Gilmer, will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Brother Charles Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 Am to 11:00 Am prior to the service. Mrs. Dowden passed from this life to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in Tyler.

Pat was born August 20, 1946, in Gilmer, Texas, to Marshall and Amie Pool Bivins. She attended Harmony schools, and married the love of her life, Richard Dowden. She enjoyed her family and liked doing needle-point in her spare time.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Dowden; sons, Richard Lee Dowden, Jr., James Michael Dowden; grandson, William Marshall Dowden; granddaughter, Chelsea Dowden and sisters, Betty Cook and Ruby Ida Denton.
