Graveside services for Mr. Oscar Edward Redding, 82, of Gilmer will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 25, 2016 at Kelsey Cemetery with Bishop Tim Miller presiding under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Redding passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 in Fort Worth. He was born in Merryville, Louisiana on July 29, 1933, to Oscar Redding Sr. and Eloise Perry Redding. He married his wife Lelia Beth Bryant in August, 1954. Mr. Redding was a retired Heating & Air Conditioning Technician and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Mr. Redding is survived by his son, Walter Ethan Redding & wife Julie of Forth Worth; daughters, Leslye Ellen Whittemore & husband Rex of Gilmer and Laurel Elaine Lawson & husband Rick of Chubbuck, ID; sister, Frances Redding Lyons of Sulphur, Louisiana; brothers, Rayford Redding Guidry of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Billy Benevage of Florien, Louisiana; half-brother, Brian Douglas Hunter of Shreveport, Louisiana, half-sister, Terry Dingler of Tennessee; step-brother, David Hunter of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and step-sister, Glenda Hunter Parks of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lelia Beth Redding in June 22, 2015; mother, Eloise Hunter, father, Oscar Eugene Redding; maternal grandparents, Edward Perry and Annie Perry; paternal grandparents, Oscar Augustus Redding and Susan Cotton Redding; brother, Eugene Redding; step-sister, Rayma Hunter
