Opal Lee Shaw

Mrs. Opal Lee Shaw, age 90, of Gladewater, formerly of Seagoville, passed away on Thursday, Jul7 19, 2018 at her home. Opal was born on October 16, 1927 in Murchison, Texas to the late Clyde R. and Oma Ocille Casey Cannon. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy L. Buckelew and wife Dyanne of Paris, TN.; daughter, Brenda Cline and husband Mike of Gladewater; grandchildren, Todd McGrade, Jeff Buckelew, Jeremy Buckelew, Michael Buckelew, Christi Latham, Casey Cline, Kelly Cline, Michael Cline; numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 25 years, Mr. William J. Shaw; four brothers, Jimmy, Clyde, Bobby, and Billy Cannon; three sisters, Muriel Huddleston, Glenda Cannon, and Dorothy “Dot” Catron.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater, interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Gladewater, with grandsons, and great-grandsons, serving as pallbearers.
