Opal Marie Freeman

Opal Marie Freeman was born into this world February 10, 1926, in Daingerfield, Texas and passed way in her home in Ore City Texas with her loving family at her side on January 10, 2025, at the age of 98 years. (1 month from 99 years). She was a devoted housewife and mother, and a long-term member of First Baptist Church in Ore, City Texas.

 She married William A. Freeman (also known as Billy) on July 4, 1942, who preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Dora Easley of Daingerfield, Texas, her first born son William A Freeman Jr. (also known as Dan), of Lone Star, Texas, her last born son Tommy at birth, of Loop Texas. Also, all of her brothers and sisters. 

 Opal is survived by her only daughter Barbara Ann Crenshaw of Post, Texas. Jimmy Dalton Freeman and his wife Anita of Tuttle, Oklahoma. Stephen Wayne Freeman and his wife Ruth of Big Sandy, Texas. Opal is survived by many Grandchildren, Great Grand Children, and Great Great Grand Children. As well as several daughters in law.

 Opal’s family would also like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers and hospice care who attended to her personal needs.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas. Visitation will take place on January 16, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 2:00 PM. Interment to follow at Memory Park Cemetery in Longview, Texas.
