Oliver Randolph "Randy" Scates, Jr.

Oliver Randolph “Randy” Scates, Jr., 54, of Gilmer passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at home. Randy was born September 9, 1963, in Atlanta, GA, to Oliver Randolph, Sr. and Mary Scates.
Randy worked as a stenciler and painter of railcars. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Scates; children, Paula Gage, Randea Gulledge, Jonathan Ramsey; and grandchildren, Hayden Gage, Jackson Spain, Madelynn Gulledge, Conor Dooling and Audrey Dooling.
A memorial service for Randy will be held at a later date. Guests are invited to leave tributes and comments for his family.
