Norma Fink

Norma Brison Fink, lifelong resident of Upshur County and 52 years in Gilmer, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 26, 2011. Funeral Services will be held at Croley Funeral Home, Gilmer, Texas at 11 AM, Tuesday, March 29, 2011 with Reverend Richard Laster and Larry W. Osborne officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park beside her husband, Ernest Fink. Born September 4, 1913 to Joseph Robert (Joe Bob) and Daisy Farmer Brison in the Union Ridge Community, Norma graduated from Union Ridge High School. Norma was a seamstress, Stanley Saleslady, housewife and mother. Norma loved to travel, but the place she loved most was Gilmer. She loved her friends and Electra Sunday School classmates at First United Methodist Church where she was a member. Her family wishes to thank the many members of the Electra Class that provided transportation when she could no longer drive. For the last three years she was under the watchful care of Arbrook Plaza Nursing Home in Arlington, TX. Her family wishes to express gratitude for the care and attention provided by so many individuals at Arbrook Plaza. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Corbet Fink in 1972, brother, William Hubert Brison; sisters, Ella Mae Brison and Sarah Hebert. She is survived by her son Ernest Selwyn Fink and his wife Sarah Jane of Arlington, TX , granddaughter Desiree Livingston and her husband Scott and their children Elijah, Laurie Beth and Daniel in Southeast Asia; and grandson Nathan Ernest Fink and his wife Tauna and their daughter, Tomzie Yvonne of Farmers Branch, TX. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8 PM, Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
